Ralph Valle, ein alter US-PCa-Aktivist, hat diese Zahlen aktuell auf der PPML-mailing-list gepostet, aus WHO-Statistiken.
Ich finde, die sollten hier auch gezeigt und diskutiert werden !

Why don't we hear about this? Where are you USPSTF????
In countries in which the PSA test is more used to detect PCa, the rate of
PCa mortality and trend are down and fewer men are dying of the disease.
U.S.A.'s rate is 19.8 men per 100K population
Canada's rate is 23.3
On the other hand, where PSA use is low, the trend is flat or even increasing and more men are dying.
Sweden's rate is 54.8 men per 100K population
Norway's rate is 45.4
Switzerland's rate is 34.7
U.K.'s rate is 34.4
The reason we do not hear is obvious. It doesn't fit their picture.
What else is new? Just let them die.

Hi Ralph,
Could you tell us where these figures come from... I want to spread the word wider and anticipate someone asking this. Thanks,

The United States Preventative Services Task Force is a group of
dedicated medical professionals and researchers who make
recommendations to the government about best practices about
preventive services. This is a quasi-governmental agency and has no
force of law or enforcement but is strongly considered in the re-
imbursement for governmental health agencies such as Veterans
Hospitals and services, Medicare and Medicaid for the poor. Private
insurers listen closely to the USPSTF to determine their safest
actions. They take stands that may be unpopular for others but since
they do not control money or services they can lead the way in making
new standards. The do not recommend screening of men for psa. They
also made a hotly debated recommendation about the questionable risk/
reward for breast cancer screening for women under age 50, publicized
a year or so ago.
